Firstwheels 'City Elite' Twin Pushchair

First Wheels City Twin Stroller was recently developed to enable twins or two children of different ages to travel together easily and is one of the very few twin buggies that can also be converted into a double pram for twins as it will take two carrycots for newborn twins. 

Unlike other twin buggies, the City Twin enables twins or children of different ages to sit independently and can be configured with the seats facing each other or in the same direction either forward facing or rearward facing towards the parent. The rearward facing (pusher/parent-facing) position allows you to talk to your children face-to-face and is recommended by child experts in helping to develop children's communication skills. This is vitally important for twins and multiples, where language delays are often more prevalent (see Twins Tips for more information on Language and Development in Twins & Multiples) 

The spacious seats are also equipped with padded 5-point safety belts and are are detachable from the main frame which, as it is made of lightweight aluminium, it is one of the safest and most comfortable designs around. Also available as an option for a toddler and a newborn baby the double pushchair/pram can have one carrycot and one seat unit (two seat units are supplied as standard and one or two carrycots can be purchased as optional extras). 

Suitable for around town or country, the City Twin is easily manoevered thanks to the two front lockable swivel wheels and at only 78cm wide it will fit through standard doorways. A raincover is also included with the twin buggy and co-ordinating carrycots and footmuffs are available as optional extras. 

Each optional carrycot converts the double pushchair into a cosy single or twin pram and comes complete with a mattress, an apron, carrying handles, insect net and it even folds flat for storage. The Carrycots allow your twin babies to lie completely flat which is recommended for newborns and can also be used in place of moses baskets. As your child(ren) grow simply switch from the carrycot to the seat unit - it's as simple as that ! 

Tested to the highest standards in Europe(BS EN 1888:2003), full attention has been given to both fashionable design and quality. The City Twin has been re-classified as suitable from 6 months due to new regulations regarding seat recline. However, the carrycot options allow babies to lie completely flat and are suitable from birth. 
The 2009 strollers have brushed finish trim on the seat unit and carrycot. 
The stroller comes with an anthracite grey seat or carry cot and the colour is added by the hood and seat/cot fabric which easily zips on!
